DON"T FORGET!

LIL' Kid's camp next week in Fort Madison. Need all the help we can get from the varsity [jrs and srs]. This pays for camps, t-shirts, etc for the season. You are expected to help sometime throughtout the 4 days....Doesn't have to be every day, just a couple if possible.

Also got an invite to play July 19 and possibly the 20th in WACO. If we have enough interest we will attend.

Looking at playing August 2 in Davenport @ the Quad Cities Shootout [again, if there is enough interest, we will stay overnight and have some fun]

Thanks to all who participated in the camp. I felt it was very good and we saw many good things, great things, and things to work on. The things to work on are correctable which makes it even better when looking back. We beat some very good teams and played well on Sunday despite the "tired legs and emotions". I appreciate your hard work and 'team attitude' that went into the games as every one played and encouraged each other.

The JV team made some TREMENDOUS strides in the 2 days and by Sunday afternoon you guys were really starting to get it figured out! As your knowledge of the game grows so will your physical part of the game grow.

Lastly, I hope you had fun and I appreciated the maturity you displayed the entire weekend.

You don't have to mail the form and money to me. You can give it to me when you see me or bring it that Saturday morning when we leave....Don't stress about getting it to me before.... Just don't forget it.

Remember July 30th and 31st for camp.

UNi Camp update

We will be leaving Fort Madison @ 8:00 on the 4th of August and leaving West Point @ 8:15. Teams are to check in between 11:30 and 12:00 Saturday. I have not gotten the schedule of games yet.

We have reservations at the Fairfield Inn in Waterloo, across the street from Crossroads[?] Mall.

Expect the camp to cost about 25.00 for camp, room and T-shirt. Food will be seperate.

IT IS NOT MANDATORY to go. If you want to go, Great! If you have other things going on, I understand that too...I just need to know whether you can go or not...

Now that I have some information, I will be sending out a letter this week sometime to get feedback whether or not a person is going...

We have 2 teams in the UNI camp and room reservations @ the hotel....

Instead of the 26th-whatever for our camp...it is thought maybe we could go an hour or so after the kids camp on the 16-19 of July. So if you are there helping we can just go right into some work for the August camp....

For those of you that do not play softball, we may have an opportunity to play in Davenport on July 14th...

We are also looking at July 21st and 22rd for the Quad Cities Midwest Classic in Davenport,IA

I will get a feel for interest and talk to find out if we should go...We have the invitation and they told me I have some time to decide...

Just wanted to to say Thanks and great job on Sunday!

The asst. coach @ Kirkwood who was the scorekeeper was very positive and said the game we played was very impressive.

Sunday night showed how you can battle back from a deficit!! The younger kids did a great job too!

Kirkwood is now done and our next game will be Sunday @ the Y in Burlington....

We have alot to be proud of and for exciting things to be happening!!

I am hoping to move the 3:00 game up.

I have had some of you come in for some individual work and others have asked...I just want to let you know that I am proud and excited for the fact you want to work on your game! I am offering and extending an invitation to anyone else who might want to work on their game. If you want to work one on one or in pairs [even 3 or 4!] give me a call, we will discuss and set up a time[s] that is convenient.

Great players are made in the summer!
